Lessons

Lessons are 45-minute sessions with two students working simultaneously, or 30-minute weekly private sessions.  The academic year consists of fall and spring semesters, with each semester including 15 lessons and 1 recital or performance opportunity.  

Summer semester consists of 4, or 8 lessons during June and July and may consist of group, private, FaceTime or video lessons.  Enrolling in a minimum of 4 summer semester lessons is required to guarantee a lesson time in the fall.


Semester Tuition

Tuition for fall semester (late August- early December) is $420.  Tuition for spring semester is $420 (early January- late April or early May).  Semester tuition is due before the semester begins and secures your enrollment.  Tuition may not be paid out monthly.  However if more than one student per family is enrolled, semester tuition for each individual may be paid in full in consecutive months following the initial payment. Summer semester payment is $112 for 4 lessons or $224 for 8 lessons.  Flexible lesson times and dates will be as arranged with the teacher in order to accommodate other summer activities.

Fees

A nonrefundable registration fee of $25 per family.

An advanced payment of $40 for music and materials will be paid to the teacher who will make purchases for the student. The teacher will give an accounting and bill for additional funds when necessary.

A non-refundable recital fee of $15 per student or $25 per family will be charged for fall and spring semesters.

September 30 deadline for a second student’s semester tuition

October 30 deadline for a third student’s semester tuition

December 15 deadline for Spring semester tuition and fees

January 30  deadline for a second student’s semester tuition

February 30 deadline for a third student’s semester tuition

May 15 deadline for Summer Semester tuition and fees

June 30  deadline for a second and third student’s semester tuition


Payment Options

Cash of course is accepted. Please deliver to Kelli in person. 

Personal checks may be delivered in person or mailed to Kelli Keller home/studio address at 828 E. Overcrest St. Fayetteville, AR 72703.  Write checks to Piano'sCool or Kelli Keller. Please do not leave checks at residence or mailbox

Online payments can be made through the studio website at www.pianoscool.mymusicstaff.com via Stripe.There is a 2.9% convenience fee will be added for both credit and debit cards.  

No lessons will be given without full payment having been received with the exception of more than one student per family when paying tuition in consecutive months.

Attendance

  • Students are asked to attend every scheduled lesson unless providentially hindered.  Please do not send a student or attend a lesson if they/you have had fever within the past 24 hours.  If a regular lesson is not prudent, but the student is feeling well enough to have a phone or FaceTime lesson, feel free to make arrangements ahead of the regular lesson time.  Notify the teacher as soon as possible.
  • In the event of inclement weather you should notify the teacher to set up a FaceTime or phone lesson during the regularly scheduled lesson time.
  • Absences due to out of town trips or other extra-curricular or social activities are not eligible for makeup lessons. Required school activities are eligible for makeup lessons with advanced notice.

The teacher will reschedule any lessons missed due to absence on her part for any reason.  

Performances

It is expected that all students participate in Fall and Spring Recitals.  Please discuss with the teacher any extenuating circumstances that may prevent participation.

Students may opt in to judged events that take place each fall and spring. These involve additional registration fees not covered by tuition and studio fees.

Participation

The teacher will provide an encouraging learning environment during lessons, including appropriate materials and activities for age and skill level.

The student is expected to play the piano at home most days, adhering to the teacher’s practice instructions.  If the student does not practice at least 5 days a week, progress will be slow.

Parents should secure an acoustic piano or electronic piano that has weighted key.  Parents are always welcome at lessons. Parents should show interest and be involved at daily practice, as well as read the teacher’s instructions each week.

Piano’sCool Studio and Kelli Keller are released from any liabilities, accidents or injuries that may incur from the enrolled student with the participation of lessons, group classes, parties or events.

During student and group gatherings and performances, the teacher reserves the right to use video recording or take photographs of students for use in the studio, advertising materials, lesson demonstration and studio owned websites. Photos taken by the teacher or that are shared with the teacher by other parents or students of gatherings or performances become the property of the studio and can be used at the discretion of the teacher in regards to the studio. The studio follows online safety rules in this matter.

Withdrawal

The semester tuition and fees are nonrefundable, with the exception of music and materials fund which will be calculated and billed for overage or balance refunded.
